Sneezing and Nasal Discharge

Sneezing is an involuntary spasm that causes dogs or cats to expel air suddenly through their nose and mouth. It’s normal for them to sneeze or have nasal discharge; however, if the frequency increases significantly, it could be a sign of a health issue.

Regular sneezing and nasal discharge may indicate that something is blocked in the animal's nose or that there is an underlying disease causing inflammation or infection. Poor oral health can also be the culprit behind these symptoms.

For instance, teeth with infected roots, given their proximity to the nasal passages, can lead to sneezing and/or nasal discharge due to the creation of an oronasal communication.
