Electroretinography (ERG) is a diagnostic technique that allows us to study the electrical activity of the retinal cells. During the test, the photoreceptor cells (rods and cones) receive a light stimulus, and their electrical response is recorded. The obtained recording is examined to determine if the patient has any retinal disease that affects its function.
At IVeM, we perform ERG on all our patients with cataracts to establish a prognosis for visual recovery after surgery.
We offer innovative services at IVeM, backed by extensive experience, ensuring the comfort and safety of our patients.
Our team of specialist professionals will interpret the results so that you have all the necessary information to choose the treatment that best suits your pet.
