
These patients present with a case of red eye, characterized by dilation and congestion of the deep conjunctival vessels, often accompanied by thickening of the epiescleral or scleral conjunctival tissue.
Epiescleritis and scleritis are inflammatory ocular conditions that can have serious consequences for vision. The inflammation may be localized, leading to the formation of nodules or masses (nodular epiescleritis), or it can be diffuse. It's common to see corneal involvement with focal edema and superficial neovascularization.
